MS Network Engineer

Overview

Networking Managed Services Engineer (L1) providing managed services to keep client IT infrastructure and systems operational.

What you'll do

• Proactively identify, investigate, and resolve technical incidents and problems.
• Monitor client infrastructure and solutions to catch errors as they occur.
• Investigate first-line incidents and determine root causes using approved procedures.
• Provide support via telephony, ITSM tickets, or chat and execute maintenance (patching and configuration changes).
• Ensure smooth shift handovers for continuous service and escalate incidents/requests when necessary.
• Identify optimization opportunities such as reducing common incidents and enabling automation for fulfilment and process improvements.
• Update knowledge/articles and share insights to improve service and resolution.

What you'll need

• Basic understanding of technologies including Pulse Secure SSL VPN, Virtual Juniper, Palo Alto, Fortinet Firewalls, Cisco Nexus switches, ASr and ISr routers, Cisco ACS, ISE, and Meraki switches.
• Knowledge of routing protocols including BGP, OSPF, and EIGRP.
• Disciplined handling of tickets day-to-day.
• Ability to use ITSM tools and ITSM processes.
• Strong planning skills for changes and circumstances.
• Basic requirement of a bachelor’s degree in information technology/computing or equivalent experience.
