Networking Managed Services Engineer (L2)

Overview

Networking Managed Services Engineer (L2) responsible for keeping client IT infrastructure and systems operational through monitoring and second-line support.

What you'll do

• Proactively monitor systems to detect technical incidents and problems.
• Identify, investigate, and resolve medium-complexity incidents and requests.
• Review client tickets/requests and update tickets with actions taken.
• Ensure services are restored swiftly in line with SLAs.
• Lead shift handover by highlighting key tickets and upcoming critical tasks.
• Escalate tickets to Centres of Excellence (CoE) and other teams when needed.
• Support monitoring, initial client escalations, and change management activities.

What you'll need

• Proficiency with Pulse Secure SSL VPN, Palo Alto, Fortinet, and Cisco Nexus switches/routers/firewalls.
• Familiarity with ticketing tools.
• At least one technical certification in the above-mentioned technologies.
• Strong planning skills to anticipate and adapt to changing circumstances.
• Ability to communicate and work effectively across different cultures and groups.
• Active listening and client-centric communication skills.
• A bachelor's degree or equivalent qualification in IT/Computing, or equivalent work experience.
