Overview
Lead a Unified Communications and Collaboration Solution Engineering team while providing hands-on architecture, design, implementation, governance, and senior escalation support for enterprise voice, video, telephony, and collaboration solutions.
What you'll do
- Supervise, coach, develop, and manage approximately four Solution Engineers.
- Plan workloads, staffing, succession, technical coverage, and engineering delivery priorities.
- Own engineering quality, execution, schedules, risks, documentation, and operational readiness.
- Architect enterprise voice, VTC, SIP, SBC, telephony, and collaboration solutions.
- Modernize legacy PBX and telephony environments across on-premises, hybrid, UCaaS, and cloud platforms.
- Configure, integrate, test, deploy, troubleshoot, and escalate complex voice and video environments.
- Coordinate with network, transport, cybersecurity, program, customer, carrier, and vendor stakeholders.
What you'll need
- 10 or more years of progressive engineering experience in VoIP, VTC, enterprise telephony, unified communications, or a related discipline.
- At least 3 years of technical leadership experience with supervisory or people-management responsibilities.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Telecommunications, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
- Advanced knowledge of voice and video protocols, enterprise telephony, SIP trunks, dial plans, and carrier services.
- Experience with SBCs, VTC and collaboration platforms, cloud voice integration, networking, QoS, security, and diagnostic tools.
- Strong judgment, communication, stakeholder-management, and complex problem-solving skills.
Nice to have
- Cisco, Microsoft, AudioCodes, Ribbon, or comparable voice and collaboration certifications.
- Experience with technical proposals, statements of work, bills of material, estimates, staffing plans, or risk assessments.
- Automation and scripting experience using Python, PowerShell, REST APIs, or comparable technologies.
- Experience supporting large-scale, geographically distributed, highly available, or mission-critical environments.
