What you'll do
- Implement and optimize control plane and data plane functionality for switch and PHY platforms.
- Enhance Layer 2/3 networking capabilities.
- Design and optimize high-performance switching fabrics with advanced packet processing, QoS, congestion control, and telemetry.
- Build and integrate features such as MACsec, retimer, SyncE, and PTP mechanisms.
- Contribute to open-source initiatives (e.g., SONiC, SAI, OVS, Linux kernel) and help define future networking standards.
- Collaborate with hardware teams to bring up new Switch and PHY SoC platforms and ensure hardware-software integration.
- Participate in code reviews, design discussions, and continuous integration processes.
What you'll need
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field with 8–18 years of experience, OR Master's degree with 6–16 years of relevant experience.
- Proficiency in C, C++, Python, and Lua scripting.
- Deep understanding of PHY programming, Ethernet switching, Layer 2/3 protocols, and networking standards.
- Experience with MACsec or other equivalent network protocols.
- Strong hands-on experience with SONiC, SAI, Linux, and OVS.
- Familiarity with ARM multicore SoC architecture and high-speed packet I/O.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, especially in distributed team environments.
- Proven ability to independently plan, execute, and deliver complex technical projects.
- A passion for continuous learning and thriving in fast-paced, innovation-driven settings.
