Networking Managed Services Engineer (L1)

Overview

Networking Managed Services Engineer (L1) is an entry-level role focused on providing managed services to keep clients’ IT infrastructure and systems operational.

What you'll do

• Proactively identify, investigate, and resolve technical incidents and problems.
• Monitor client infrastructure and solutions to catch errors early.
• Investigate first-line incidents, understand root causes, and follow approved procedures for request fulfilment.
• Provide telephonic, ITSM ticket, or chat support.
• Execute maintenance activities including patching and configuration changes.
• Ensure smooth shift handovers for continuous service.
• Escalate incidents and requests when necessary.

What you'll need

• Basic understanding of Pulse Secure SSL VPN.
• Basic understanding of Virtual Juniper.
• Basic understanding of Palo Alto.
• Basic understanding of Fortinet Firewalls.
• Basic understanding of Cisco Nexus switches, ASr and ISr routers, Cisco ACS, ISE, and Meraki switches.
• Basic understanding of routing protocols including BGP, OSPF, and EIGRP.
• Good understanding of using ITSM tools and ITSM processes.
• A bachelor’s degree in information technology/computing or equivalent experience.
