Networking Managed Services Engineer (L1)

Overview

Networking Managed Services Engineer (L1) to provide entry-level managed services, keeping clients’ IT infrastructure and systems operational.

What you'll do

• Proactively identify, investigate, and resolve technical incidents and problems.
• Monitor client infrastructure and solutions to catch errors early.
• Investigate first-line incidents, determine root causes, and follow approved procedures for request fulfilment.
• Provide support via telephonic, ITSM ticket, or chat and maintain service continuity.
• Perform maintenance activities such as patching and configuration changes.
• Resolve incidents and requests efficiently and escalate when necessary.

What you'll need

• Basic understanding of technologies including Pulse Secure SSL VPN, Virtual Juniper, and Palo Alto.
• Basic understanding of Fortinet Firewalls, Cisco Nexus switches, and routers (ASr/ISr).
• Basic understanding of Cisco ACS, ISE, and Meraki switches.
• Basic understanding of routing protocols BGP, OSPF, and EIGRP.
• Good understanding of using ITSM tools and ITSM processes.
• Highly disciplined ticket handling and ability to act promptly as per SOPs.
• Bachelor’s degree in information technology/computing or equivalent experience.
