Offer Engineer - Gas Insulated Switchgear

Overview

Associate Project Engineer (Offer Engineer) for Gas Insulated Switchgear (GIS) primary offer engineering in Chennai. You will support Sales and Tendering engineers by creating tender-specific engineering documents and drawings for customer offer submissions.

What you'll do

• Support Sales & Tendering engineers to develop tender-specific engineering documents and drawings.
• Carry out primary engineering of Gas Insulated Switchgears (GIS) for transmission and sub-transmission systems.
• Prepare drawings and documents for customer submission for GIS above 66kV.
• Produce major deliverables including Gas SLD, GIS layout, cable tray layout, earthing layout, cable overview, and assembly overview.
• Perform system resistance, thermal loss, gas volume, earthing mat, and cable calculations.
• Build bills of material and prepare cost estimation based on the BOM.
• Maintain and update documentation for respective projects/tenders following quality process.

What you'll need

• Bachelor’s degree/Diploma in EEE or Mechanical Engineering.
• 3-8 years of experience in Tender or Execution of substation projects or HV/MV product design.
• Good knowledge of CAD tools including Creo and AutoCAD.
• Familiarity with codes and standards such as IEC, IEEE, and ANSI.
• Excellent knowledge of high voltage products & substation systems.
• Excellent communication skills in English.
