Operations Engineer

Overview

Operations Engineer supporting operations and/or managing delivery for production systems and services. Acts as an interface between the client and systems across hybrid on-premises and cloud environments.

What you'll do

• Administer Microsoft Windows Server environments including File Services.
• Administer Linux servers (RHEL) for installation, configuration, package management, and OS hardening.
• Develop and maintain Ansible playbooks/roles/inventories for automated provisioning, configuration management, and patching.
• Manage patch cycles using WSUS and Linux patching via Red Hat Satellite or native package managers coordinated through Ansible.
• Configure and manage user accounts and SSH key management.
• Monitor system health and performance metrics and respond to alerts across Windows and Linux.
• Maintain Ansible Automation Platform (AAP) job templates, credentials, projects, and scheduled automation runs.

What you'll need

• Minimum 3 year(s) of experience required.
• 3 to 5 years of total experience in system administration across Windows Server and Linux in a hybrid environment.
• Hands-on experience writing Ansible playbooks for Windows (WinRM) and Linux (SSH) node management.
• Knowledge of Windows Server administration including Group Policy, DNS, DHCP, and patch management.
• Practical Linux administration experience including SELinux, LVM, networking, and systemd service management.
• Exposure to Ansible Automation Platform (AAP) or AWX for centralized automation job management.
• 15 years full time education is required.
