Overview
Software Asset & License Analyst III is the expert technical seat for resolving floating-licence server failures, constructing defensible licence positions, and handling high-risk licence agreements within a 24x5 shift window.
What you'll do
- Operate and recover Corporate License Hosting licence servers and daemons (including monitoring and resolution within a 4-hour SLA).
- Build Initial and Final Licence Positions by reconciling entitlements with deployment and consumption evidence.
- Review EULAs and clickwrap terms for high-risk requests and enforce routing for signed agreements.
- Escalate entitlement/key/activation failures to publishers and resellers and drive them to closure.
- Validate contract and event records for renewals, quantify savings/cost avoidance evidence, and correct discrepancies.
- Design technical automation (e.g., for reclamation) and author SOPs/BRDs while providing technical coaching (no line authority).
What you'll need
- 6–10+ years in software asset management or software licensing operations, as a senior technical escalation point.
- Hands-on Corporate License Hosting or floating-licence server experience, including FlexNet or comparable daemons and configuration file editing.
- Proven licence-position reconciliation and ability to defend results to a publisher or auditor.
- Strong command of EULA/clickwrap review and risk judgment to stop requests when needed.
- Ability to work a fixed or rotating non-standard shift, including the NAMER window (22:00–06:00 IST).
- Linux and Windows server administration exposure to work licence-server issues with infrastructure teams.
- Scripting/automation literacy (Python, Apps Script, UiPath) for reclamation/reporting/BRD authoring.
Nice to have
- Preferred software asset management certification (IAITAM CSAM, ITIL, Flexera, or ServiceNow SAM credential).
- Experience supporting publisher business reviews, audit responses, or negotiation preparation.
