Overview
As a GQ (Global Quality) Package Reliability Engineer, you coordinate package qualification for new products and use reliability test data to support product release recommendations.
What you'll do
- Coordinate package qualification for new products and innovative builds.
- Develop reliability test plans to evaluate risks related to excursions, conversions, and qualification issues.
- Perform root cause analysis and corrective measures for package-related qualification failures and RMAs.
- Prepare detailed reports for review and discussion.
- Provide assistance to internal and external customers on package-related quality and reliability concerns.
- Offer suggestions for product launch based on reliability test outcomes.
What you'll need
- Have a BS degree, M.Sc, or comparable experience in Engineering or a related field.
- Have experience in Micro Electronic Packaging, Quality/Reliability Engineering, Failure Analysis, or a related field (preferred).
- Understand semiconductor component package assembly processes and challenges.
- Understand surface mount methods and associated challenges.
- Understand mechanical and material interaction effects on IC components and/or PCB assemblies.
- Understand thermomechanical, thermal, mechanical, and hygroscopic swelling stresses on package reliability.
- Have practical understanding of industry reliability test techniques, acceleration models, and sampling statistics.
