Packaged/SaaS Application Engineer

Overview

Configure and support packaged or SaaS applications to tailor features to evolving business requirements, manage application releases, and ensure system stability, using standard tools, APIs and low-code platforms.

What you'll do

• Configure and customize the ServiceNow platform
• Manage licenses, entitlements, reconciliation and compliance reporting in ServiceNow SAM Pro
• Monitor and enhance application functionality in collaboration with different teams
• Manage application releases and ensure overall system stability
• Use standard tools, application programming interfaces and low-code platforms to align solutions with business needs while maintaining compatibility and performance

What you'll need

• Minimum 3 years of experience in ServiceNow Software Asset Management
• Hands-on experience with ServiceNow SAM Pro, including License Management, Entitlements creation, Reconciliation and Compliance Reporting
• Practical, core experience configuring and customizing the ServiceNow platform
• Strong working knowledge of CMDB, Discovery and Software Normalization for accurate software inventory management
• Experience with License Workbench, Allocation and Reclamation workflows and Publisher Packs configuration
• Proficiency in ServiceNow scripting, including Business Rules, Script Includes, Client Scripts and Flow Designer
• Familiarity with software audit processes and vendor compliance requirements for major publishers (Microsoft, Oracle, IBM, Adobe)
• 15 years full-time education

Nice to have

• Exposure to Hardware Asset Management (HAM Pro) and SaaS license tracking
• Experience with Integration Hub and REST/SOAP APIs for third-party procurement or ITSM tool integrations
• Familiarity with third-party SAM tools such as Flexera, Snow Software or Aspera
• Knowledge of ITAM frameworks, ISO 19770 and ITIL standards
• ServiceNow CIS-SAM certification or experience leveraging Performance Analytics for advanced SAM reporting
• Experience working within an Agile/Scrum development environment
