Packaging Engineer

Overview

Packaging Engineer responsible for managing mechanical design work from sales order review to handover to production, including pump-related order engineering and documentation.

What you'll do

• Manage assigned mechanical design projects from sales order review through production handover.
• Handle order-related design, processing, and supporting activities for the product range.
• Review customer design specifications and work with Sales/Tendering to convert requirements into order engineering.
• Prepare customer-facing documents such as pump cross-section drawings, pump data sheets, and curves.
• Review and approve buyout component drawings/documents related to mechanical seals and couplings.
• Prepare, check, and release the Bill of Material (BOM) in SAP ERP.
• Coordinate with Operations, Purchase, Sales, Quality, and Testing through the order execution cycle.

What you'll need

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from a reputed institute.
• 5-10 years of experience in centrifugal pump design and API standards.
• Hands-on experience with AutoCAD 2D and NX 3D.
• Experience with Siemens Teamcenter (added advantage).
• Knowledge of SAP ERP tool.
• Independent, proactive approach with good communication and interpersonal skills.
