Performance and Analytics Business Analyst, AVP

Overview

Business analyst and product owner for performance and analytics solutions, working with Product, Technology and Service Delivery teams to translate business needs into product requirements and Agile stories and to support delivery through to production rollout.

What you'll do

• Lead workflow, data and requirements analysis for current and future state models, and ensure product integration with upstream and downstream applications.
• Gather business requirements and create detailed product requirements, technical requirements, feature specifications and Agile stories.
• Define requirements and Agile stories for investment analytics, data models and data mapping.
• Act as subject matter expert for Performance and Analytics applications.
• Define and maintain project schedules, milestones, risks, issues, assumptions, dependencies, decisions, architecture and cross-product dependencies.
• Develop product roadmaps, business cases, project objectives, operating models, product design, process flows and wireframes.
• Collaborate with Product, Technology, Service Delivery and other stakeholders on the development and rollout of new products and capabilities.
• Support product testing, including user acceptance testing, test cases and test data.
• Drive product readiness, including release notes, documentation, training and governance activities.
• Provide communication to senior leadership on product development activities, project status and product roadmaps.

What you'll need

• Experience in Financial Services, Investment Analysis, Asset Management or related fields.
• Experience in product development, product management, business analysis, investment operations or software solutions.
• Strong analytical capability in both quantitative analysis and technical domains.
• Skill and experience with financial data modeling and mapping.
• Expertise in Investment Performance & Analytics.
• Experience working with Investment Accounting data and services.
• Ability to distil complex information into clear, concise and actionable insights.
• Familiarity with software development process and software/product lifecycle development activities.
• Experience with advanced data analysis and large data sets, with strong SQL skills.
• Bachelor's degree in Economics, Finance, Accounting, Business, Mathematics or equivalent.
• 5-7 years of relevant work experience.
• Strong knowledge of Performance & Analytics.
• Strong knowledge of Investment Accounting and the Financial Services space.

Nice to have

• Product development, product management or software development experience.
• Accounting knowledge.
• Advanced degrees in Finance or related professional certifications (CA/CFA/CIPM/CAIA or equivalent).
• Prior product management and/or software development experience.
