Performance Test Engineer

Overview

Performance Test Engineer responsible for handling projects independently from planning through delivery. The role focuses on performance testing, scripting, application monitoring, system analysis, scalability, and reliability.

What you'll do

• Design and develop comprehensive performance test strategies and plans, including test scope, objectives, workload models, performance benchmarks, and success criteria.
• Create, enhance, and maintain scalable performance test scripts using JMeter.
• Leverage custom Java coding for advanced test scenarios, integrations, and complex business workflows.
• Execute load, stress, spike, endurance, and scalability tests using JMeter and BlazeMeter.
• Use monitoring and observability tools such as AppDynamics to collect, analyze, and correlate performance metrics.
• Identify bottlenecks, conduct root cause analysis, and provide actionable insights to improve application performance.
• Monitor application performance and resource utilization across AWS and Azure environments.
• Analyze infrastructure-level metrics and identify cloud-related performance constraints impacting application reliability and scalability.
• Generate detailed performance test reports, dashboards, and executive summaries.
• Present findings to stakeholders and provide practical recommendations to optimize application, database, and infrastructure performance.
• Partner with Development, QA, DevOps, SRE, Product, and Operations teams to ensure performance requirements are defined, validated, and met throughout the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC).
• Demonstrate hands-on use of industry-standard performance testing and monitoring tools, including JMeter, BlazeMeter, AppDynamics, and related observability platforms.
• Investigate and resolve performance-related issues across application, middleware, database, and infrastructure layers.
• Recommend performance tuning and optimization strategies to improve system efficiency and user experience.
• Evaluate, pilot, and recommend the adoption of the latest performance engineering, observability, and AI-powered testing tools to enhance test automation, performance analysis, anomaly detection, root cause identification, and overall engineering productivity.
