Platform Enablement Engineer supporting engineering teams to adopt cloud platform capabilities with confidence and independence.
What you'll do
- Provide architectural guidance on established cloud platform patterns under senior direction as needed.
- Run time-boxed enablement engagements with clear scope and defined handover.
- Contribute to and maintain reusable Infrastructure-as-Code modules and CI/CD pipeline templates.
- Help define and apply engineering standards consistently across engagements.
- Provide short, structured hyper care support after handover.
- Maintain documentation such as runbooks, onboarding guides, and decision logs, and track engagement/support data to identify recurring issues.
- Surface early signals of platform friction to senior engineers for escalation.
What you'll need
- 4–6 years in infrastructure, platform, or DevOps engineering roles.
- Hands-on working knowledge of AWS cloud infrastructure.
- Hands-on working knowledge of CI/CD pipelines (GitLab or equivalent).
- Hands-on working knowledge of Infrastructure as Code (Terraform or equivalent).
- Hands-on working knowledge of observability tooling (e.g., Open Telemetry, Honeycomb, CloudWatch).
- Ability to document decisions and explain trade-offs to engineering teams.
- Documentation-first habit, documenting as you go.
