Platform Engineer

Overview

Platform Engineer responsible for building and maintaining infrastructure platforms and products that support applications and data systems.

What you'll do

• Develop, deliver, and maintain infrastructure solutions to meet business requirements for reliability, performance, availability, and ease of use.
• Monitor IT infrastructure and system performance to identify, address, and resolve issues, vulnerabilities, or outages.
• Use data to reduce mean time to resolution.
• Build and implement automation to improve efficiency and reduce manual intervention.
• Implement secure configuration measures to protect infrastructure from cyber-attacks, vulnerabilities, and unauthorized access.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with product managers, architects, and engineers to define requirements and integrate solutions.

What you'll need

• Experience of Application or Technical Support.
• Good knowledge of release, deployment, and change management processes (ITIL).
• Strong hands-on knowledge of Unix/Linux, storage fundamentals, and infrastructure troubleshooting.
• Good working knowledge of NetApp storage (capacity, snapshots, mounts, shares) and coordination with storage teams.
• Good knowledge of cloud/platform services including AWS, OpenShift, and Kubernetes.
• Knowledge of automation and configuration tools such as Terraform, Ansible, and Chef.

Nice to have

• Extensive hands-on experience with AWS, OpenShift, Kubernetes, Docker, Ansible, and observability tooling such as Observe.
• Working knowledge of Python scripting for automation and tooling improvements.
