Platform Engineer- GCP and Kubernetes experience is a must

Overview

Platform Engineer to help scale and strengthen SonicWall's Kubernetes-based production environment, owning platform reliability, performance, and observability across Kubernetes, GCP, Terraform, and infrastructure automation.

What you'll do

• Maintain and extend the Kubernetes platform
• Improve performance and reliability of the production platform
• Ensure proper observability of production systems
• Assist with database and service performance tuning
• Collaborate with Development Engineers on the impact of new features
• Identify architecture bottlenecks and work with Engineering on new solutions
• Handle on-call response for public-facing services
• Collaborate with Support on operational runbooks

What you'll need

• Minimum 3+ years Kubernetes
• Operating System: Linux
• GCP Cloud experience is mandatory
• Terraform
• Container lifecycle
• Programming in Go, Python or similar
• Database optimization
• Network level troubleshooting
• At least 6 - 8 years of related experience with a Bachelor's degree; or 3 years and a Master's degree; or a PhD with 1 year experience; or equivalent experience

Nice to have

• Multi-cloud experience
• Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
