Overview
Platform Engineering Manager to lead and grow a platform engineering team focused on developer experience and productivity. Owns roadmaps and tooling for efficient CI/CD, developer workflows, and AI-powered platform automation.
What you'll do
- Lead a platform engineering team while driving roadmaps for CI/CD pipelines and developer workflows.
- Integrate platform tooling into a single self-service developer experience with visibility into service performance (e.g., SLO health).
- Own capacity planning and define right-sized architecture patterns and templates for easier service building and scaling.
- Develop AI-powered platform tooling, including agent-based workflows and automation for recurring SRE/support workflows.
- Partner across Engineering, Infrastructure, Security Engineering, and Product to prioritize platform investments.
- Coach and develop engineers, including technical leads and senior engineers, and communicate with stakeholders.
What you'll need
- 1-2 years managing software engineers directly or serving in a technical program management role.
- 3-5 years hands-on software engineering experience (e.g., Go, Python) building developer productivity tools or internal developer platforms.
- Experience with infrastructure/cloud technologies including Terraform, Kubernetes, Docker, and distributed systems.
- Experience designing capacity planning and right-sized architecture patterns/templates for self-serve decisions.
- Familiarity with SRE practices and translating them into tooling and automation for operational workflows.
- Comfort using AI tools for planning/execution and evaluating AI-generated outputs.
