Platform Hardware Design Engineer

Overview

Design and develop platform hardware, including electronic components, PCBs, and integrated circuitry, while supporting board and system reliability.

What you'll do

• Translate platform requirements into circuit and component specifications.
• Design and evaluate electronic components, PCBs, and integrated circuitry.
• Capture schematics and define PCB components and routing rules.
• Manage board layout from feasibility studies through tape-out.
• Assess BOM cost and component availability trade-offs.
• Lead hardware power-on and debug activities with cross-functional teams.
• Conduct design research, verification, testing, and component evaluation.

What you'll need

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or a related field with 4+ years of hardware systems design experience.
• Proficiency with electrical schematic capture and PCB layout tools.
• Hands-on experience designing PCBs, integrated circuitry, and electronic components.
• Expertise in logical design and component definition.
• Familiarity with BOM cost analysis and optimization.
• Experience with Cadence Concept HDL.
• Experience with high-speed board design, TBT, and LPDDR5.

Nice to have

• Strong communication skills in multidisciplinary teams.
• Experience with validation, verification, and manufacturing teams.
• Experience using AI tools for hardware design.
• Ability to troubleshoot and debug complex hardware systems.
