Platform Infrastructure Engineer (SRE Core)

Overview

Build and operate secure, scalable, cloud-native infrastructure across GCP and AWS for Menlo Security's globally distributed platform.

What you'll do

• Implement and maintain VM and Kubernetes infrastructure across development, staging, and production environments.
• Build Infrastructure as Code with Terraform modules and Spacelift.
• Provision networking, compute, storage, and security components.
• Develop observability with Grafana Cloud, Prometheus/Mimir, and OTel collectors.
• Manage certificates, DNS automation, ingress controllers, and Cilium service mesh networking.
• Automate operational work by writing scripts and building CI/CD pipelines.
• Participate in 24x7 on-call rotations and lead post-incident reviews.

What you'll need

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Proficiency in Python, Bash, and Go.
• Understanding of network topologies and protocols including TCP/IP, HTTP/S, UDP, and TLS.
• Production Kubernetes expertise covering administration, RBAC, networking, workloads, and troubleshooting.
• Proven experience with Terraform for infrastructure provisioning and management.
• Knowledge of GCP services including GKE, VPC networking, Cloud DNS, IAM, and Workload Identity.
• Ability to use LLM-based code-assist tools to build and troubleshoot software.

Nice to have

• Experience with GitOps methodologies and tools.

• Location: Distributed across the United States.
• Base salary: USD 105,000–185,000 yearly.
