Overview
Power Electronic Engineer (Platform, Solid State) to contribute to the design, simulation, prototyping, and testing of power electronic products and related systems.
What you'll do
- Design, analyze, and document new and existing power electronic products.
- Simulate circuit breakers for various applications.
- Support thermal design using loss and efficiency estimations.
- Identify and select suitable components and collaborate with suppliers on feasibility.
- Build and test simulation models and hardware prototypes.
- Perform hands-on testing, troubleshooting, and data collection.
- Analyze test results to optimize designs and prepare technical reports.
What you'll need
- MS in Electrical/Electronic Engineering.
- Enhanced knowledge in design and analysis of power conversion topologies.
- Familiarity with power semiconductors (modules and discrete) technologies and thermal/electrical simulation tools (e.g., Ansys Maxwell/Icepack, SIMetrix, PLECS, MATLAB/Simulink).
- Experience designing, building, and testing prototype converters/solid state breakers.
- Familiarity with PCB design software (Altium Designer).
- Proficiency using digital oscilloscopes and lab measurement equipment (e.g., spectrum analyzers, vector network analyzers, impedance analyzers).
- Familiarity with MATLAB and/or Python (NumPy) for numerical calculations.

- Experience in SSCB development.
