Pre-sales Engineer -Bangalore

Overview

Pre-sales Engineer role supporting technical sales for cloud-based data protection and backup solutions.

What you'll do

• Qualify technical requirements and guide prospects to solution fit with sales and account managers.
• Deliver product demonstrations and manage Proof-of-Concepts (POCs).
• Run technical discovery sessions to assess customer environments and propose cloud backup/data protection solutions.
• Support responses to RFPs, proposals, and technical queries.
• Provide feedback to product and sales teams based on field interactions.
• Stay updated on product releases, competitive landscape, and industry trends for cloud backup, disaster recovery, and SaaS data security.

What you'll need

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Electronics, or a related field.
• 3–5+ years of experience in a Pre-Sales, Solutions Engineer, or Technical Consultant role.
• Experience with data protection, backup & restore, endpoint protection, and ransomware recovery.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills to explain complex solutions simply.
• Experience supporting or working with resellers or system integrators.
• Plus familiarity with data protection vendors such as Juniper, Cohesity, Veeam, Rubrik, Commvault, or Acronis.
