Primary Engineering

Overview

Primary Engineering role responsible for engineering authority and end-to-end engineering deliverables for substation projects and tenders.

What you'll do

• Execute complete engineering assignments for small to large projects/tenders in line with contract specifications and quality standards.
• Prepare substation layouts and section drawings and other primary engineering drawings.
• Design and produce grounding system drawings, lightning system design, and cable routings/clearance drawings.
• Develop bill of materials, RFQs, and estimate engineering hours.
• Assess technical risks and evaluate opportunities including validation.
• Verify technical data sheets and evaluate vendor offers; support FAT/SAT of primary equipment/system as needed.
• Plan, implement, review, and continuously improve quality systems and follow Opex initiatives.

What you'll need

• Bachelor’s or diploma degree in Electrical Engineering.
• 7 - 12 years’ experience.
• Proficiency in required CAD design tools (BIM Tools, BIM 360, Navisworks, Microstation/AutoCAD).
• Knowledge of international standards such as IEEE and IEC.
• Knowledge of substation tendering and project engineering activities (technical & commercial).
• Proficiency in spoken and written English.
