Principal Architect

Overview

Principal Architect owning and driving end-to-end architecture for large-scale distributed systems.

What you'll do

• Own overall system architecture across multiple domains.
• Define and drive long-term architectural vision and technical roadmap.
• Design and review high-level system designs, data flows, and integration patterns.
• Serve as technical authority for complex architectural decisions and trade-offs.
• Establish and evolve architecture standards, design principles, and best practices.
• Drive adoption of modern architectures including microservices and event-driven systems.
• Identify architectural risks and drive mitigation strategies.

What you'll need

• 12+ years of experience in software engineering with significant system architecture focus.
• Ability to influence without authority and align across multiple teams.
• Deep understanding of distributed systems, scalability, and fault tolerance.
• Knowledge of microservices, event-driven architectures, and API/data/integration patterns.
• Strong experience designing and evolving large-scale distributed cloud-based systems.
• Strong experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
