Principal Data Analyst

Overview

Principal Data Analyst who leads analytics strategy and delivers scalable, production-impact modeling and insights for one or more Zynga games.

What you'll do

• Define and shape analytics strategy aligned to long-term business objectives.
• Identify high-impact ambiguous problems and drive them to measurable business outcomes.
• Implement novel analytical methodologies including statistical modelling, ML, and causal inference.
• Own architecture-level decisions on modelling approaches, data infrastructure, or measurement frameworks.
• Lead design, testing, verification, and implementation of machine learning models and product features.
• Influence senior and executive leadership through data-driven storytelling and mentoring analysts.

What you'll need

• 8+ years of work experience in data science or analytics roles.
• BS in Computer Science, Math, Statistics, Economics, or another quantitative field (Masters/MBA/PhD preferred).
• Fluency in SQL.
• Strong programming skills in Python.
• Expertise in statistics, experimental design, causal inference, and/or machine learning/deep learning with production deployment.
• Extensive experience analyzing large datasets.

Nice to have

• Experience in gaming, mobile, or consumer tech industries.
