Principal Engineer-Bridges (Structures Horizontal)

Overview

Principal Engineer role focused on horizontal bridges/structures. Provide specialized structural engineering inputs across studies, design, reviews, estimates, and quality control.

What you'll do

• Provide specialized technical input to studies and design for bridge/structural expertise.
• Develop study and design procedures to enable high-quality, cost-effective work by others.
• Participate in interdisciplinary review of project deliverables.
• Develop construction cost estimates and estimate technical efforts for projects.
• Perform quality control review of design calculations or drawings.
• Prepare technical specification sections.
• Provide input to engineering budget and schedule development.

What you'll need

• Master of Engineering (or equivalent) in an appropriate engineering discipline from an accredited college/university.
• 12+ years of experience with bridge and related structural design schemes.
• Knowledge of Midas and experience with ME.
• Good communication skills and ability to work independently at times.
• Ability to view the “bigger picture” from a project birds-eye view.
• Ability to work independently or as part of a team and meet deadlines.
