Overview

Principal Machine Learning Engineer for Zillow’s Agentic AI team, building large-scale agentic AI experiences for real estate customers.

What you'll do

• Develop large-scale, fault-tolerant multimodal agentic experiences for millions of customers.
• Design and develop agent interaction modes including Voice AI and Deep Research.
• Build evaluation frameworks, tracing systems, and safety guardrails for trustworthy AI agents.
• Translate emerging agentic paradigms into product innovation.
• Lead complex, multi-team initiatives bridging applied research and scalable engineering.
• Distill research findings and AI system architectures into actionable insights for diverse audiences.

What you'll need

• Master’s degree or above (or equivalent) in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related fields.
• 5+ years’ experience deploying large-scale ML models.
• Most recent 2-3 years building agent-based systems and multi-agent collaboration.
• Experience developing dialogue systems for long, context-aware conversations and compliant responses.
• Experience building AI services handling hundreds of millions of interactions with high availability and low latency.
• Familiarity with agentic AI frameworks including LangGraph, Agents SDK, AutoGen.
• Strong communication skills to influence technical direction and present to executive leadership.
