Principal Software Development Engineer - Rust

Overview

Principal Software Development Engineer (Rust) to design and scale high-performance backend services for a converged, cloud platform.

What you'll do

• Design and build a low-latency, high-throughput Rust-based data forwarding plane using async/await.
• Develop distributed, scalable systems focused on concurrency, fault tolerance, and messaging.
• Implement and maintain gRPC-based APIs and services that integrate with control and orchestration layers.
• Optimize performance using deep profiling across kernel-space and user-space.
• Drive technical excellence through code reviews, architecture discussions, documentation, and mentoring.

What you'll need

• 14+ years of software development with systems programming and Rust expertise.
• Experience with async frameworks such as Tokio or async-std.
• Proven experience building resilient, observable, horizontally scalable distributed systems.
• Deep understanding of Linux fundamentals and networking.
• Experience with container-based environments, CI/CD, and kernel-user space interaction.
• Foundational understanding of AI/ML technologies and experience leveraging/securing/positioning AI-driven solutions.
