Overview

Principal Software Engineer providing technical leadership and architectural direction for High-Net-Worth technology capabilities within CommSec.

What you'll do

• Provide technical leadership and architectural direction across the High-Net-Worth technology portfolio.
• Shape and deliver technical integration of Private Banking capabilities into Banker Workbench.
• Drive complex technical problems from ambiguity to resolution with stakeholder alignment.
• Hands-on build prototypes, implementations, and participate in code reviews.
• Design and guide scalable, secure, resilient services, APIs, and integration patterns.
• Partner across squads and domains to align architecture, dependencies, sequencing, and delivery.

What you'll need

• 15+ years of experience in full stack engineering development.
• Expertise in .NET/C# and modern backend engineering.
• Expertise in React and TypeScript.
• Experience with Graph and REST APIs and API-first architecture.
• Experience with microservices and SQL/NoSQL data stores.
• Expertise in AWS and cloud-native architecture, containers, and Kubernetes.
