Overview
Hands-on Solution Architect role that designs and builds production solutions while owning end-to-end technical direction for core product platforms. This senior individual-contributor role shifts over time from feature delivery toward greater architecture leadership.
What you'll do
- Actively design, build, and ship production code as part of the engineering team.
- Own complex features or technical initiatives end-to-end (design through deployment).
- Deliver end-to-end solution architecture for web/cloud applications, including integration patterns and non-functional requirements.
- Review designs and pull requests with actionable, constructive feedback.
- Maintain architecture artifacts including diagrams and decision records (ADRs).
- Drive CI/CD standards and collaborate with DevOps on pipeline, secrets, and deployment automation.
- Lead evaluation and rollout of AI-assisted development tools and AI-powered product capabilities with responsible AI guardrails.
What you'll need
- 5–10 years of software engineering experience with recent, active hands-on coding.
- 2–3 years operating in a Solution Architect, Technical Lead, or equivalent architectural capacity.
- Production-grade application design and delivery experience on AWS.
- Hands-on experience with GitHub Actions for CI/CD workflows and quality gates.
- Experience partnering with DevOps on infrastructure-as-code and observability tooling.
- Strong grasp of modern application architecture patterns and APIs.
- Practical experience integrating or piloting AI-assisted development tools or AI-driven features in production.
