Principal Software Engineer - PAM

Overview

Principal Software Engineer for Privileged Access Management (PAM) at Okta, focused on building cloud-based, secure enterprise PAM products.

What you'll do

• Leverage AI development tools and LLMs to accelerate development of secure PAM products.
• Design, develop, and deliver cloud-based privileged access management solutions.
• Build and maintain end-to-end features using modern JavaScript and cloud-native backend technologies.
• Lead technical design for initiatives and drive quality, scalability, and maintainability.
• Implement reusable, performant UI components for a no-code builder experience.
• Conduct design and code reviews and ensure scalability, redundancy, and multi-tenancy considerations.
• Monitor, troubleshoot, and fix services and frameworks the team owns, evaluating performance bottlenecks.

What you'll need

• 9+ years of extensive programming experience in Go, Java, or C++ (Go preferred, not mandatory).
• Good knowledge of modern frontend JavaScript frameworks such as React, Angular, or Vue.
• 8+ years experience working with PostgreSQL or equivalent relational database systems.
• Demonstrated experience with REST fundamentals.
• Experience with AWS, Redis, Elasticsearch/OpenSearch, Kinesis, Kafka, and Docker.
• Knowledge of network security, authentication, and authorization.
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent (master’s preferred).
