Overview
Procurement Manager responsible for running an efficient procurement operation for materials, supplies, equipment, and services supporting clinical trials.
What you'll do
- Manage and track the request for proposal (RFP) lifecycle.
- Negotiate preferential pricing and supplier terms and conditions.
- Develop and implement procurement strategies aligned with company objectives.
- Manage solicitation by reviewing/comparing specifications and costs and supporting negotiations with vendors to reduce costs.
- Develop tools and processes for efficient, quality-driven procurement.
- Ensure compliance in purchasing, especially in vendor selection and bidding.
- Lead transformational activities to build procurement capabilities and improve efficiency.
What you'll need
- 5 years of work experience in life science procurement and outsourcing.
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, accounting, economics, or related field (or international equivalent).
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Applications (Excel, Word, etc.).
- Knowledge of purchasing policies, processes, and procedures.
- Knowledge and ability to negotiate best vendor terms and pricing.
- Experience with clinical trial procurement and contract research organization operations.
