Product Configuration Engineer

Overview

Manage product configuration planning and BOM data in collaboration with engineering, manufacturing, supply chain, and procurement stakeholders.

What you'll do

• Create and maintain accurate Bills of Materials for products.
• Update BOMs after design changes, improvements, or corrections.
• Align BOMs with product designs and engineering drawings.
• Maintain BOM revision, change, approval, and version-control documentation.
• Manage Engineering Change Orders and coordinate cross-functional implementation.
• Track the impact of changes on cost, quality, and performance.

What you'll need

• 3+ years of experience in product configuration management.
• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
• Mandatory Windchill experience with Options & Variants or Variant Configuration.
• Strong core BOM management experience.
• Strong analytical skills for interpreting data from multiple sources.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and analytical tools or software.

Nice to have

• Windchill BOM management experience.
• CM Level II certification or work experience.
• Exposure to ISO/EIA or related configuration standards.
• Understanding of PLM-ERP tool functionalities.
