Product Design Lead - Design System

Overview

Lead a small team of product designers while contributing hands-on to strategic design projects. Own design execution across teams, delivering scalable, accessible, user-centred solutions aligned with product and business goals.

What you'll do

• Lead and manage a small team of product designers.
• Prioritise initiatives, manage roadmaps, and coordinate design workflows.
• Mentor designers through critiques, coaching, and skill development.
• Contribute directly to key product design projects.
• Partner with product managers, engineers, and executives on design solutions.
• Use research, usability testing, behavioural insights, and analytics to improve experiences.
• Ensure design systems, accessibility, and inclusive design practices support scalable products.

What you'll need

• Portfolio showing design-team leadership and end-to-end product design across platforms.
• Experience leading and developing design teams.
• Expertise in UX/UI, interaction design, and user research methodologies.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Experience managing design workflows, tools, and operational processes.
• Ability to balance multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience in fintech or SaaS and understanding of financial products, compliance, security, and trust.
