Product Design Manager to lead product design for PhonePe’s Payment Gateway and Web Platforms pod, owning end-to-end design strategy and team leadership.
What you'll do
- Co-own product roadmaps and translate business vision into design-first GTM strategies for Payment Gateway and Web Platforms.
- Mentor, manage, and scale a pod of 4–5 designers, shifting from hands-on to strategic delegation.
- Influence business leadership by partnering to achieve functional goals through design and align stakeholders.
- Direct intuitive product architecture using continuous prototyping and insights from usability testing.
- Define North Star metrics and use data to drive measurable outcomes tied to features.
- Orchestrate planning, triaging, and delivery across multiple large, complex projects spanning quarters.
- Unify design systems, visual experiences, and UX copy while coordinating feedback loops across teams.
What you'll need
- 7–10 years of product design experience with ownership of complex enterprise, B2B, or fintech platforms.
- 1–2 years managing and scaling direct reports.
- Portfolio demonstrating interaction design, visual rigor, and clear reasoning.
- Comfort navigating technical constraints to design scalable, developer-friendly interfaces.
- Knowledge of design systems and systems thinking for when to extend or break from systems.
- Ability to communicate via clear UX copy and direct, useful feedback to stakeholders.
