Job description

Overview

Lead product design for real-time data exploration/observability and an experimentation platform that helps teams investigate systems, measure impact, and safely make change decisions.

What you'll do

  • Lead end-to-end design for data-intensive products used by engineers, researchers, and product teams.
  • Shape the learning loop from instrumenting and launching to observing, investigating, evaluating, deciding, and iterating.
  • Create high-craft workflows for querying, filtering, comparison, drill-down, visualization, alerting, and sharing.
  • Make complex topics—such as data freshness, reliability, uncertainty, metric validity, rollout state, and regressions—understandable and actionable.
  • Partner with engineering, data science, research, and product management to translate technical infrastructure into coherent product experiences.
  • Use prototyping, research, and design exploration to establish interaction patterns for emerging technical and AI-native workflows.
  • Define shared systems and patterns to improve consistency across enterprise and internal tools.
  • Set high standards for information architecture, visual hierarchy, interaction quality, and craft across multi-surface products.

What you'll need

  • Substantial experience owning data products, observability platforms, experimentation systems, analytics products, developer tools, AI/ML tooling, or similar technical workflows.
  • Ability to make durable interaction and platform decisions in an ambiguous space.
  • Can make dense information calm, legible, and useful without oversimplifying important complexity.
  • Technical fluency and ability to learn how underlying systems work while building credibility with engineers and technical users.
  • Strong trust-related instincts, including how provenance, reliability, uncertainty, permissions, and edge cases affect output usefulness.
  • Experience redesigning workflows across multiple tools/products/surfaces to create ecosystem coherence.
  • Strong UX/UI and interaction design skills with a high bar for contemporary visual craft and information design.

Details

  • Based in Seattle, WA or San Francisco, CA offices.
  • Relocation assistance offered to new employees.
