Product Manager (Data Governance Platform, Metadata Management, Data Stewardship, Access Management) (6-12 years)

Overview

Product Manager for Visa’s Data Governance Platform within the Global Data Office, driving strategy, roadmap, delivery, and adoption of enterprise data governance capabilities.

What you'll do

• Define and execute the product strategy and roadmap for data catalog, metadata management, lineage, data quality, access management, and stewardship.
• Translate stakeholder requirements into product requirements, user stories, acceptance criteria, and delivery plans.
• Own and prioritize the platform backlog across business value, regulatory requirements, and technical dependencies.
• Partner with engineering and architecture to design and deliver platform capabilities for discovery, trust, access, and reuse.
• Drive adoption of governance platform capabilities including glossary, metadata harvesting, lineage, certification, and stewardship workflows.
• Lead delivery of data quality capabilities (profiling, rule management, monitoring, scorecards, exceptions, remediation).
• Drive Agile development processes and define platform KPIs and success metrics.

What you'll need

• 6+ years of relevant work experience with a Bachelor’s degree OR 2+ years with an Advanced Degree OR a PhD.
• Experience in data governance, data management, data quality, metadata management, compliance, risk management, or enterprise data programs.
• Experience working with cross-functional stakeholders to define and implement governance requirements.
• Ability to analyze data-related issues and drive improvements through governance frameworks and operational processes.
• Strong understanding of metadata management, data cataloging, lineage, data quality management, stewardship workflows, and access governance concepts.
