Product Owner

Overview

Product Owner for British Council’s People technology/HRIS landscape, leading the design, implementation, and continuous improvement of HR technology solutions.

What you'll do

• Lead strategic ownership of the People Technology landscape to ensure HR systems are secure, scalable, compliant, and aligned to business priorities.
• Develop and deliver the People Technology roadmap and drive process transformation through technology.
• Establish governance frameworks and embed AI-enabled solutions with controls, compliance, and ethical standards.
• Oversee HR technology services across recruitment, employee records, payroll, and other People processes.
• Maintain data integrity, manage change initiatives, and continuously improve the HR technology ecosystem using user feedback and process optimisation.
• Provide oversight of systems including SAP SuccessFactors and Talent Intelligence platforms plus connected tools.

What you'll need

• 5+ years’ experience working with SAP SuccessFactors.
• 5+ years’ experience in process improvement, process management, or a similar role.
• Strong understanding of HR processes and practices.
• Expertise in HRIS (Human Resources Information Systems), HCM (Human Capital Management), and other HR technologies.
• Proficiency in system integration and data management.
• Knowledge of data privacy regulations and security best practices.
• Written and verbal proficiency in English is required.
