Product Software Engineering Manager

Overview

Product Software Engineering Manager leading a team to deliver transactional, activations, and billing capabilities for the commerce experience. You’ll solve complex technical challenges, set requirements with product/design, and oversee engineering execution.

What you'll do

• Lead a team of 5+ engineers to design and architect transactional, activations, and billing parts of the commerce experience.
• Oversee code development to improve application interactions with services and champion code quality via mentorship.
• Partner with engineering, product, design, and service teams to define product requirements.
• Apply strategic thinking to identify and resolve solutions for complex architectural changes.
• Oversee project management to align delivery with team goals and organizational timelines.
• Drive talent development through goal setting, guidance, and constructive feedback.

What you'll need

• Minimum 8 years of technical experience, including at least 2 years in management and engineering leadership.
• Hands-on experience with modern web technologies including TypeScript and JavaScript.
• Proficiency integrating with third-party systems (e.g., APIs; GraphQL and REST patterns).
• Strong project management skills for roadmaps and sequencing from inception to completion.
• Experience developing and driving OKRs and KPIs aligned to technical and business objectives.
• Exceptional emotional intelligence to handle high-pressure situations and urgent deadlines.
• Effective collaboration and communication skills to discuss technical topics clearly.

Nice to have

• Shipped production-level React/Node.js high-availability applications deployed to cloud platforms (e.g., AWS).
• Proven ability to strategize and implement complex technical changes and gain support for solutions.
• Ability to support and mentor other engineering managers and team members.
