Production & Materials Planner

Overview

Lead production planning and stores operations to ensure uninterrupted manufacturing and on-time customer deliveries.

What you'll do

• Lead production planning and stores operations to ensure uninterrupted manufacturing and on-time customer deliveries.
• Develop and implement production plans to meet customer demand, optimize resource utilization, and ensure on-time delivery.
• Drive cross-functional coordination with procurement, manufacturing, and logistics teams to support business objectives.
• Book customer orders and share delivery commitments considering process and raw material lead time.
• Prepare the daily machine-wise production plan in the ERP system.
• Release production orders and travel sheets to work centers as per schedules.
• Obtain daily output information (number of finished products against plan, etc.).
• Plan production tasks and schedules according to customer orders.
• Prepare the material requirement plan based on LOB.
• Monitor OEE, OTIF and operational efficiency on a daily basis.
• Chase the concerned departments to deliver parts according to the plan.
• Prepare the material requirement sheet according to the bill of materials (BOM) and share it with purchase on a monthly basis.
• Analyze production and inventory metrics, identify bottlenecks, and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency, cost, and service levels.

What you'll need

• University graduate (Mechanical, Automobile).
• 8-10 years of experience in Production & Material Planning and Warehouse Management.
• Working knowledge of MS Office, ERP SAP and BI systems.
• Ability to understand production processes, cycle time, estimate product takt time, work to deadlines, and orientation towards problem-solving.
• Attention to detail and commitment to quality and results.
• Able to communicate effectively with people from production, sales and back office levels.
