Project Engineer 3

Overview

Project Engineer in Engineering Operations (LIGHT GPE) to drive engineering project execution for Lam’s products, including system layout design, quality checks, and corrective actions.

What you'll do

• Create customer-specific system layouts and floor templates for system configurations.
• Interpret sales orders, customer specs, and engineering requirements to configure system-level layouts.
• Create and manage engineering drawing packages for system layouts.
• Conduct design integrity and configuration accuracy checks and ensure compliance with engineering practices.
• Collaborate with Product Managers, Program Managers, Product Groups, and Operations to set priorities and delivery schedules.
• Run design quality reviews and perform RCCA investigations for layout-related issues, implementing corrective actions.
• Resolve system layout issues and respond promptly to clarifications on configuration and CAD accuracy.

What you'll need

• Minimum 6 years and up to 12 years of relevant experience with a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• Proficiency in CAD tools: Unigraphics NX, Creo, and/or AutoCAD.
• CAD/PLM integration experience with Siemens Teamcenter (PLM database).
• Proficiency in ASME/DIN/ISO/SEMI standards.
• Experience with feature-based modeling, mechanical dimensioning, and GD&T.
• Hands-on experience with Teamcenter PLM applications including Change Request/ECN, Problem Report/PR, and Non-Standard Request/NSR.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and track/report task and project progress using project management techniques.
