Project Engineer Aux Automation BMS

Overview

Project Engineer for auxiliary automation and BMS work on AC substation and HVDC projects, covering HMI/DCS development, database creation, gateway configuration and technical coordination to ensure the SCADA system meets customer requirements and Hitachi standards.

What you'll do

• Develop and continuously improve HVDC overall HMI and DCS/HMI applications using ABB 800 xA software.
• Design and develop a secured network overall architecture for DCS/HMI systems for AC Substation and HVDC projects.
• Integrate auxiliary automation systems such as CCTV, HVAC, ACS and intrusion systems.
• Carry out technical coordination with sub suppliers and multiple stakeholders in different locations.
• Work hands on with IT infrastructure including routers, firewalls, switches, servers and workstations, applying basic networking skills.
• Create templates, faceplates and popups in 800 xA.
• Discuss with other departments and stakeholders to prepare the division of works.
• Take part in FAT and SAT activities together with sub suppliers.
• Provide technical support at site during the project commissioning phase.
• Evaluate and strengthen the security of any connections to the DCS/SCADA/HMI network.
• Lead automation projects and guide and mentor the team on business requirements.
• Ensure compliance with applicable external and internal regulations, procedures and guidelines.

What you'll need

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in ECE, EEE or E&I.
• Minimum 13 years of working experience from substation automation projects in India or other country locations.
• Minimum 14+ years of project work experience in substations.
• Experience collaborating with multiple stakeholders to finalize solutions.
• Knowledge of ABB 800xA.
• Knowledge of Hitachi Energy RTU.
• Knowledge and experience of MS Office: Word and Excel.
• Good knowledge of process automation and power grid automation.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency and fluency in English.
