Project Engineer

Overview

Support the execution of Control & Protection (C&P) activities for HVDC projects from engineering through commissioning, coordinating design, technical documentation, system integration, testing, and site support.

What you'll do

• Support the coordination and execution of HVDC Control & Protection systems for ongoing projects.
• Assist in coordination, review, and management of C&P design documents, functional design specifications, interface documents, protection philosophies, technical reports and engineering deliverables.
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams including system engineering, hardware engineering, software/automation engineering, commissioning teams, site teams, customers and subcontractors.
• Participate in design reviews, customer meetings, and technical discussions.
• Track engineering progress and support timely closure of technical issues.
• Contribute to FAT, SAT, and commissioning preparation activities.
• Ensure compliance with project requirements, technical standards, quality procedures, and EHS guidelines.

What you'll need

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Power Systems, Control Engineering, or related discipline from a tier one college.
• 3+ years of experience.
• Understanding of power system protection principles.
• Understanding of control systems.
• Understanding of SCADA/automation systems.
• Understanding of electrical system studies and interfaces.
• Familiarity with engineering documentation and project execution processes.
• Strong coordination and communication skills.
• Ability to work in a cross-functional and international project environment.

Nice to have

• Experience in HVDC, FACTS, substation automation, protection & control, or power systems engineering.
