Project Engineer - Process Power Manager

Project Engineer focused on Process Power Manager work within ABB’s Process Automation (Energy Industries) division in Bangalore.

What you'll do

• Evaluate, select, and apply standard techniques and procedures for engineering assignments.
• Handle testing, installation, and commissioning activities.
• Prepare project documentation within one’s scope of deliverables.
• Create work plans and cost estimates in one’s area of responsibility.
• Review and approve scope, budget, and schedule to ensure on-time, on-budget quality deliverables.
• Conduct Power Management System risk and opportunity assessments and ensure implementation of resulting actions.

What you'll need

• Minimum 4+ years of relevant engineering and commissioning experience with Power Management Systems (PMS).
• Experience covering primary equipment monitoring and control, load shedding/load sharing, and synchronization.
• Hands-on experience designing substation network architecture, including control systems and control philosophy for process/power plants.
• Working knowledge of utility communication protocols such as IEC 61850, OPC, Modbus, DNP3, IEC 101/104, TCP/IP, Profinet, and Fieldbus.
• Hands-on experience with DCS application engineering tools.
• Willingness to travel nationally and internationally up to 70% and a valid international passport.
