Public Sector Strategic Account Executive, Federal Civilian

Overview

Own strategic account growth for GitLab's AI-powered DevSecOps Platform across U.S. Federal Civilian agencies. Lead opportunities from prospecting through rollout, adoption, and expansion while connecting software modernization to agency mission outcomes.

What you'll do

• Grow strategic prospects and customers across U.S. Federal Civilian agencies.
• Build and execute account plans for a strategic book of business.
• Lead pre-sales and post-sales account direction with cross-functional teams.
• Generate pipeline, develop opportunities, and maintain forecast updates.
• Navigate federal procurement cycles and position FedRAMP-authorized solutions.
• Develop consultative proposals, quotes, and executive presentations.
• Educate customers on AI and agentic AI use cases.

What you'll need

• Experience selling technology solutions into U.S. Federal Civilian agencies.
• Understanding of federal procurement, compliance requirements, and agency buying cycles.
• Ability to manage large, complex opportunities with multiple stakeholders.
• Consultative sales, communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
• Familiarity with DevSecOps, CI/CD, secure software delivery, or related workflows.
• Ability to position FedRAMP-authorized solutions in regulated environments.
• Ability to explain AI and agentic AI capabilities as public-sector value.

Details

• Remote role in the United States.
• Full-time employment.
• Base salary: $122,000–$205,200 USD yearly, excluding bonuses, equity, and benefits.
• Sales incentive pay targeted at up to 100% of offered base salary.
