Python Data Analyst

Overview

Python Data Analyst for Citi’s Data/Information Management work, focused on data quality, governance, metadata management, and AI-powered solutions.

What you'll do

• Profile large datasets to identify data structure issues, anomalies, and missing information.
• Create, implement, and validate data quality rules and preventative/detective controls using SQL, Python, or DQ tools.
• Monitor data pipelines, ETL processes, and dashboards to proactively detect data quality issues and anomalies.
• Set up automated alerts for data quality threshold breaches and maintain quality metrics/scorecards.
• Triage data quality issues via a tracking system and develop remediation action plans.
• Maintain metadata (data catalog/dictionary) and map data lineage to assess downstream impacts.

What you'll need

• 3+ years of hands-on experience delivering data quality and data management in the banking industry.
• Proficiency in Python, SAS, SQL, Teradata, and Collibra.
• Experience building LLM-based applications and AI agents or autonomous workflows (as stated in the requirements).
• Ability to author data quality rules and document validation logic and exception-handling procedures.
• Good understanding of banking domain areas such as cards, deposits, loans, wealth management, and insurance.
• Experience with prompt engineering.
