QA Automation Engineer (2 Years Experience)

Overview

QA Automation Engineer role focused on both manual and automated testing, including creating test cases/scenarios and maintaining automation suites.

What you'll do

• Analyze business requirements and prepare test scenarios and test cases.
• Perform manual testing for new features, regression, integration, and exploratory testing.
• Develop, execute, and maintain automated test scripts.
• Design reusable automation components following framework standards.
• Execute automated regression suites and analyze failures.
• Identify, document, and track defects using bug tracking tools.
• Prepare test execution reports and communicate testing status.

What you'll need

• 2+ years of experience in software testing.
• Strong knowledge of Java-based automation with Selenium WebDriver or Playwright.
• Experience with TestNG and Cucumber (BDD).
• Working knowledge of manual testing across STLC, regression, smoke/sanity, integration, and exploratory testing.
• Defect reporting and tracking experience.
• Skills in Java automation frameworks and maintaining automation suites to reduce flaky tests.

Nice to have

• Experience with Jenkins or other CI/CD tools.
• REST API testing with Postman or Rest Assured.
• Agile/Scrum methodology familiarity.
• CI/CD pipeline and version control basics.
• Good understanding of BDD using Cucumber.
• Basic browser developer tools knowledge.
