QA - Functional & Automation Tester - Officer

Overview

Functional & Automation Test Engineer role within the Financial Services domain, working in cross-functional agile teams to deliver high-quality software solutions.

What you'll do

• Understand business requirements and define test strategies for software applications.
• Develop and maintain test plans, test cases, test data, test backups and other SQA artifacts.
• Maintain automated scripts for complex application workflows and processes.
• Identify regression cases and automate test suites.
• Incorporate automated test scripts into the continuous integration process.
• Perform integration, system, regression, compatibility and user acceptance testing phases.
• Participate in daily Agile standups, iteration planning, product demos and application walkthroughs.
• Maintain and track test deliverables in the test management tool.
• Take responsibility for QA deliverables.
• Oversee the day-to-day activities of one or more project teams.
• Prepare project reports and ensure metrics are kept up to date.
• Review daily processes and suggest improvements as required.
• Coordinate with all stakeholders in the program, including Dev, Business and PM teams.
• Work closely with other test teams, development teams, project managers, analysts, and deployment and support personnel to support project and department goals.
• Act as key point of contact for all QA aspects of releases and support.
• Replicate production defects in lower environments.

What you'll need

• Around 8-10 years of experience.
• Capital Markets domain experience.
• Functional, application and automation testing experience.
• Strong knowledge of SQL.
• Strong practical experience using Scrum, Agile modelling and adaptive software development.
• Test automation tools such as TOSCA, Python, Selenium and UFT.
• Defect tracking tools such as RTC and Jira.
• Strong practical experience using test management tools.

Nice to have

• Scripting languages such as VB scripting and Java scripting.
