QA Manager, VP

Overview

Lead quality across an assigned platform or domain as a Vice President-level Quality Manager, providing direction on quality matters and ensuring compliance with the bank's standards and policies.

What you'll do

• Take accountability for all aspects of quality across run, change and business as usual activity within the assigned platform or domain.
• Produce comprehensive and robust quality strategies and detailed quality test plans, enabling the continual flow of work packages across the domain, platform value stream or programme.
• Oversee the output quality from all testing phases owned and make sure it meets the requirements of each quality test strategy.
• Make sure only well designed and built work packages get through quality testing, aiming to get it right first time for customers.
• Ensure defects are detected and prioritised based on impact, and resolved at the earliest possible moment and before the last responsible moment.
• Undertake end-to-end test management including planning, risk, issue, dependency management, lessons learnt and governance.
• Review all key collateral relating to delivery and make sure it is of sufficient quality with no gaps or duplication.
• Make sure work packages transition seamlessly from development into live environments.
• Use automation as an accelerator and work closely with stakeholders in an Agile and collaborative environment.

What you'll need

• At least 12 years of experience with modern test automation tools including Playwright and API automation frameworks.
• Strong knowledge and understanding of quality standards, quality best practices, and the risk and controls framework.
• High levels of knowledge and demonstrable application of modern testing and quality practices and techniques used with Agile methodologies.
• Strong expertise in AI-assisted testing and QA automation, with the ability to rapidly understand business requirements and translate them into scalable test solutions.
• Strong understanding of CI/CD pipelines and automation-first quality engineering practices.
• Skilled in leveraging AI tools to accelerate test design, defect analysis, test maintenance, and quality insights.
• Drives quality, speed, and delivery efficiency through scalable automation strategies and continuous improvement initiatives.
