Quality Assurance Engineer

Overview

Quality Assurance Engineer on the Testing Center of Excellence (TCoE) team, reporting to the Sr. Manager, Quality Assurance Engineering. The role designs and implements tests, debugs, defines corrective actions, and tracks quality assurance metrics.

What you'll do

• Design and implement tests, debug, and define corrective actions.
• Review system requirements and track quality assurance metrics.
• Develop and run new tests and report their results to stakeholders.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to fix program bugs or problems.
• Manage the production of test documents and the creation of test procedures.
• Contribute to scrum teams in implementing automation within a Sprint/Release.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the smooth running of the QA department.

What you'll need

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or equivalent.
• At least 3 years of experience in test case planning, assessments, script development, and maintenance.
• Proven success in testing, both automation and manual.
• Hands-on experience with automation tools and frameworks and developing automation scripts.
• Expertise with automation tools such as Playwright, and developing automation scripts using Typescript/Java.
• Strong hands-on experience with API testing using Rest Assured or any such client.
• Hands-on experience with test management software such as qTest and JIRA.
• Proven work experience leveraging AI tools, such as GitHub Copilot or Claude, across test design, test scripting, test report analysis, and diagnosing and fixing test failures.
• Proficiency with Agile methodology and a collaborative cross-functional approach.
• Strong experience in the software testing lifecycle (STLC) and knowledge of the software development lifecycle (SDLC).
• Strong attention to detail.
• Strong testing skills and logic-based thinking, including the ability to determine the root cause of an issue.
• Ability to understand how systems interact and integrate, and how changes in one application affect others.
• Initiative to own and initiate improvements across functional and non-functional aspects, including integration, reuse in automation, performance, security, and database testing.
• Awareness of company vision, goals, and requirements.
